You're in luck. I bought the OEM sub and installed it, and I don't have the nav system. The OEM sub came with both harness adapters. PM me your address and I can mail the nav one out to you.

Not sure if you need an adapter to hook that into the sub though.

I installed the Kenwood a couple of weeks ago. Found it on amazon marketplace for 165. Much better deal than the factory clarion and a little better. It was a tight fit with the seat mechanisms. I had to sink it into the floor a bit to give it enough clearance so you could still move the seat back and forth. There were a couple of studs sticking up under there that I trimmed too. I'll have some pics up shortly.

Added a decent amount of lower bass but the most important part was some better tuning. I cut the bass output to the stock speakers and used the sub to fill it back in. I would have rather used my basslinkII from my other car but it detracted from the utility of the hatch too much. Another option I found after the fact was a newer underseat sub by Blaupunkt that uses an 8" woofer and its dimesions woudl fit better I think.

Pics of it installed under the 08s seats. It wasn't as easy as the previos years look. Test fit seemed OK at first till I tried moving the seat back and found that the sub is about an inch too wide or a little tall and gets in the way of the seat slider locking mechanism. Solution was to sink it into the carpet so that it sits solid on the floor board.

I had the Kenwood WOOX in my 04 wrx, very similar to the one above this one probably replaced it. It's not going to shake the china in your neighbors house but it does even the sound out nicely. I had the wired remote run up into the center armrest console.

I will order one today...

How did you interface it?

Thanks All of you for the Help!

Once you cut out the carpet and foam you'll need to trim off a couple of studs that stick up under there.

I put back in some insulation in the low areas and added some dynamat then glued the carpet back down and put some velcro on the sub edges to hold it in place.

At first I figured I would add a LOC and use the RCA inputs so In the future witha new head unit it would be set up, but I ended up taking the quicker route for now and tapped the harness so I wouldn't have to mess with finding a place to mount the LOC and get it dialed in etc.

For the power wire I brought it from the battery straight back through the fender and in at the grommet in front of the drivers door where a bunch of other harness goes in. I'm not sure what the power level is on the factory sub but if they tap the headunit power source it can't be too much. I didn't want to add the subwoofer load to that fuse.

Nice install, good job. Just for everyone's info, the amp in the OEM sub is 100 watts and from what I can remember it did tap into the headunit's power... next time I have the radio out I will confirm. I bet the Kenwood sounds a bit nicer but the Clarion does a pretty solid job. Just need to rip out the headunit and install a carputer so I can have a proper MP3 player and a proper EQ.
