If you look at the one picture of the floor you'll see the stud I cut down. If you reach under your seat you'll find 2 spots where the carpet has cutouts already and there are these studs in holse in the foam there. Don't know what they could possibly be used for.

I know very very very little about car stereo, have Kenwood DDX7017 atm and wanna upgrade speakers and get a sub, if someone can PM me and help me understand what i gotta buy, i would be really appreciative

i have the kenwood too. its nice. if you want spleen squeezing bass then its not for you. if you wanna fill out the sound then its perfect

space is indeed very tight in the '08
in my '04 i had built a sub box with an 8" woofer that fit nicely under the passenger seat. this is NOT going to happen in the '08

just ordered a ksc-sw10 on amazon.com for 132 shipped.

i have an avic-d3 navi headunit.

will i need anything else? or is this baby just plug and play?

wtf...we have a hatch now...put a single JL 12w6 back there and you'll be fine...hide the amp under your seat.yum. JL. Once you go JL you never go...to hell? wtf?

I bet a good installer could put a single 12w6 and you would barely notice it. ... but it wouldn't exactly fit under the seat I love excelon stuff from kenwood...i wouldn't do my ICE any other way.
