I think that I wrote it up a bit somewhere, but the gist is that it only involves tapping into two wires from the harness, plus power and ground. When I did it they hadn't figured out the wire colors to go with, so I had to call them and we worked it through checking every wire with a multimeter. They took that info and put it on their website in the instructions list. Once you have everything taken apart, it shouldn't add much more than 10 mins. worth of work.

Awesome! thanks JWA. I did check the instructions on the website but they had steps 2-13 skipped so I was wondering if I was reading it wrong. I guess ill get it and figure it all out then.

Search on here. the pac writeup is posted. Its not hard, just have to tap one wire plus ground, 12v. I use the pac-alp, but the other (newer) one works fine too.

Someone posted a picture of it in the package with the number visible in one of these threads. I have to pull mine one of these days to reposition my Sirius antenna, so I'll get the number then if you haven't found it yet.

Anyone have pics of a unit installed with a dash kit.. I want to see how bad it looks compared to the obviously beautiful, but expensive Japan option...

Yeah, I think you're right. I still haven't opened mine, change of plans and I ended up buying volks instead of the Avic-D3 first, lol.
