How is this for a lease deal>

MSRP 36293.00
42 Months at 15K/yr @ 487.35 per month
Lease factor 0.00205
Gross Cap Cost 37583
Money down $2000
Net Cap Cost 35640
Residual 0.55 = $19600

what do you think guys? In terms of the lease rate I know 0.00205 is a good rate, but I am paying MSRP, is that alright?

Because of the stop sale, I have convinced the dealer to get the first month's payment as well....

if you plan to put parts on it, keep ALL the oem stuff and reinstall when it's time to trade...then sell the parts!

Just because you are leasing, don't bend over and pay MSRP, you still should be trying to negotiate the price down. May depend on how well they are selling in your area, but it sounds like many people are getting close to invoice now.

What is your acquisition/"lease" fee? I was told $895, which seems ridiculous. Also there is typically an extra few hundred bucks due at the end of the lease, a "disposal" fee if you turn in the car, or some other BS processing fee if you keep the car. Generally they blame it on the bank/SOA and say it isn't negotiable, but you can try.

I am portland, OR which is subaru mad, but you are right, MSRP is too much in this market.

Another related question, is that the Internet sales dept of the same dealer is offering an $1500 discount over MSRP, is there any catch while dealing with Internet sales dept?

Two things come to mind that I don't think have been said yet:

1. Consider the penalties you have to pay if the car comes back with damage. People have been finding that the STI paint chips worse that usual, especially around the rear fenders. My kid scratched up our Toyota van like crazy when he knocked my snowboard into it. I like not having to stress about keeping the car pristine.

2. Can you definitely keep up the payments? There are so many people trying to get people to buy out their leases right now. If you finance, at least you have some equity in the car, and the STI doesn't seem to depreciate as much as other cars.

I also don't like the mileage limits.
