Yeah from what I've seen on that gauge pack on Defi's website there are two Temp gauges and one Pressure gauge in that single din. All they say on them is Temp, Temp, and Press. They are not interchangeable. Also the LHD version does not come with a amber backlight.

Whats involved installing something like this? How hard is it to install the Vac hose? Do you just drill a hole in your air box somewhere?

PLX Devices Inc. - SM-Vac Boost 3 Bar Sensor Module
or
..this looks really easy - I may just need to relocate the ODB connector to up inside the dash so it doesn't get kicked.. But the question is: can this model do Boost as well on the sti? I don't see anything about boost on the product page.

You would T in the vacuum line to a boost reference line. The BOV hose is what the factory uses for boost gauge installs.

So you're saying there is a hose under-hood for jsut this purpose? Sounds easy enough.

Anyone have experience with the PLX stuff?

Would none of the H.U.D. units work that are out there? I know DEFI makes a couple of different ones (links below), but I'm not sure if either will do boost.

I think I'm onboard with jph on this. I'm thinking that the autometer bezel with "frog eyes" molded higher in(on top) the cluster hood.

again, not like the ATI "gauges on a stick frog-eys", but a more molded "form fitting/flowing" overlay.

Where did you get that from? I just installed my D3 today, so I guess I could do gauges through it. What video output gauge devices are out there?
