yea ive heard this before and i know what you're saying...but the fact is...there's always going to be someone who doesn't use the correct wording or spelling

I did the magnet test on my '06 and it didn't stick. I tested the whole car, and true to their advertising, the only aluminum body panel I found was the hood.

2006 STI. I've got a section of my commute that is so wavy I thought for sure the hood would fly up. Passing a semi on a two lane road would scare the heck out of me and I would shrink over to the fog line.
I tried adjusting the rubber stops to no avail.
Finally went Sparco hood pins. No movement at all in any condition. They are kind of in your face, but the whole car is already in your face.

my '04 had an aluminum hood too, magnet didn't stick.
my '08 has a steel hood. the magnet sticks.
