Default Car pulls to right

My car has 200 miles on it.. I find it pulls pretty bad to the right, and its worse if I'm accelerating, which seems strange. I'm bringing it in for the second time tomorrow - they did an alignment and wheel balance today and it did nothing, its just as bad!? Is this a front diff issue, or.. just occured to me it may be tire pressure, but I dont have a TP warning on the dash..

I also have slight vibration at 60mph+. Is a pulsating virbation normal in these cars at speed? This is my first Subaru! I'm hoping these two problems are related to something small!

Anyway, just wondering if anyone else had this issue.

vibration at 60mph+ i'm saying your wheels either aren't balanced, or aren't balanced properly. i'd have a chat with your dealer about that

Def. get your wheels balanced! When ever i went around 65-70mph the steering wheel would shake a little and have slight vibrations. Got the wheels balanced and problem solved. I don't know about your car pulling to the right though. 200 miles is pretty new..Shouldn't have a bad alignment issue.

The STI I test drove pulled to the right as well (and the steering wheel wasn't centred.) It is possible that you have a bad factory alignment. Ask the dealership for the alignment printout, just to prove that they actually did it. You want to look at toe and thrust angle. Also their machines aren't always calibrated as accurately as we might want.

If the car is pulling it sounds like you might have a toe-out issue. A wheel balance issue shouldn't cause pulling, just vibration. The front diff shouldn't be affecting you while driving in a straightline unless there is wheel slip and even then, I never noticed any pulling or tugging.

Now, with that said, my '05 on RE070s tramlined (followed grooves) like crazy which occasionally resulted in tugging etc. I'm sure the new car has the same issue (like many performance cars with low profile tires) but it should still track and accelerate straight on smooth roads.

Keep us posted and good luck.

If the car is pulling to the right it's either the alignment or the tires. Factory alignments are crap for sure and I would not trust the results unless you get a print out and it looks good.

Rotate the front right tire to the frotn left and see if it then pulls to the left. If so, there is something going on with the tire. If it still pulls to the right, the alignment is off.

What tire pressure are you running? Off the top of my head I believe it should be 32/33 psi. If I'm wrong could someone correct me.

My factory alignment isn't great either. I'll be fixing that before the first autocross of the year for sure.

Seems like the alignment issue is apparent outside of Japan too. Let the dealer fix it for you and ask for an alignment paper.

mine was the same way, although my pull was very light i still took it to a race shop to have them check it. Was out slightly and they dialed it in, it only took a few minutes. The fact i showed up with a 6 pack didnt hurt the situation either.

I would guess this is a common issue, a lot of people seem to complain of it.

I got it back from service and it was indeed way out of alignment from the factory. It was also out of balance. I actually had to go back twice because the first time they only balanced the front two and didnt do the alignment! WTF?!

Now it seems ok, although possibly placebo effect, it may pull a little left! I havent really been on great roads yet, but at least it good enough now to not be annoying. Thanks for the replies - note to new STI owners, get it balanced and rotated if it has what I had!

Did you happen to get the alignment numbers before the fixed them?

Glad it is fixed.

Check your tire pressures before you bring it in.
