Default My Stage 1 COBB OTS Results

My 08 now has about 830 miles on it. I stayed below the 4k recommended rpm for those first 800 miles only going above it once or twice and never pushed to redline. Today I had the oil replaced and got some baseline as well as Stage 1 results on Dentsport's DD.

While the car was on the Dyno it gained between the first few pulls and settled in at the numbers below.

The car was then flashed to COBB's off the shelf 93 Octane map.

Here is a comparison of both

Here is the boost file

Pics of the car

I will be going back in for some more pulls on the dyno in a couple thousand miles once the ECU has settled in a bit more. Thanks to the guys at COBB for getting the AP out so quickly and Dentsport for seeing me on such short notice.

What was the peak boost with the new tune? Looks decently high for Stage 1, like 19?

It stayed around 18.1 but did hit 18.7 on one of the pulls.

I've been able to notice a seat-o-my-pants change ever since I reflashed...and that was for Cali fuel.

199whp stock?

Is that what other year STI's have always put down stock? I thought they were 230ish

Sux to spend $40,000 and only get 199whp.

Thanks for posting

Yeah, I didn't spend 40k. Anyways, just shows how terrible the stock tune really is. And no it's not what they put down stock, on the same dyno the 07 stock put down around 210. Like I said I babied it through the first 800, the ecu still has some learning to do.

The number do not look right 199 of 305 is a 35 % drive line loss. Can you post the TQ numbers.
EG

Every dyno is different. Some are heartbreakers. A dyno is only a tuning tool, useful to see the change caused by some modification - in this case the AP map.

Right, a 34 whp increase and a 40 TQ increase on an off the shelf map. I think that's pretty impressive.

It is a solid gain.

The car only has 800 miles,so you should be able to get a better number after everything fully breaking in.

I have seen many BMW high performance cars getting really smooth after 20000kms.

But Dyno's can not hide TQ, HP can be found this way it is pretty close HP=TQ*RMP/5252.
