I mode in Stage 1 is very similar to stock. Admittedly, I have not been in I since I got the AP BUT when I did go into it, it felt about the same as stock.

Guys with a Stg2, and Catless Down Pipes.
GET A BOOST GAUGE!
After installing a Catless down pipe, and Stg2 map. Our car was hitting 22PSI! Do to the lack of back pressure. And this was on the 91 Octane map.

We ended up enlarging the stock boost pill to .041(at different altitude you might need to do a different size) and the boost went back down to 17psi. And that is where it should be with a stock Cat back.

Be carefull running a Catless downpipe, OTS Stage2 map and no boost gauge to monitor.
Another thing. The AP will only read up to 18.6PSI, even if you are hitting 25PSI it will only show 18.6

Werd on the heads up!

I have reflashed my 08STI back to Stg 1 93 octane. Stage 2 gave me a Code of 244 which is overboast and I quickly flashed the ECU back to Stage 1 93.

The car doesn't throw the 244 code anymore but my AP reads peak PSI of 18.7 which has me worried about your comments regarding the accuracy of the AP.

Is enlarging the stock boost pill the only fix or can some get a custom tune to correct this problem?

Thanks.

We also got the same CEL.
If you replace the restrictor pill, you can lower your boost.
http://www.cobbforums.com/forums/ima...mWorksv109.pdf

A custom tune will take care of that issue as well.

One thing. You might be running way more boost then you are seeing. As the AP will not display over 18.XX PSI.
Order the restrictor pill from a local dealership. And try not to drive the car.

Also read this.

I'm not sure why anyone would run a catless DP w/ a COBB OTS Stage 2 map. It specificaly states that you should not run this set up. You have to run a catted DP.

Heres an expression of what the stage one map is for you.

BAD BAD BAD!!!

The minimum requirment for the stage one map is a stock downpipe. You need to be running the stage two map.

You have to mechanically tune your boost control system to run the spec boost. Just like Rally Sport Direct has told you to.

Not to jump on you but if you read the map notes (list allrequirments and necesary specs) on the download page, you can help yourself a lot. I'll link it to you.

Knowing the notes for your particular map should be important. by knowing your map notes you can quickly get a very good grasp for how your car is running.

Heres the link to the map download page. If you can't read pdf files you will need the adobe pdf reader software. It's worth the download.
