actually i went to Dent Sport Garage to tune my WRX as well (same place as where Spork went, so Im assuming its the same dyno)... I was indeed told by them that stock a STI usually puts down 220 on their dyno. 199 is indeed on the low side...

I believe 244 Code is overboost.

If you have a catless exhaust and with the current temperatures, that isn't surprising that you are overboosting on the stage 2 OTS map (which is for a catted downpipe.) I would highly recommend that you find a Protuner to touch up that map for your specific needs.

Still pretty rich, which should mean relatively safe and that there is more power to be had by leaning it out a touch more. Still, as a temporary fix for the crazy stock tuning, AP stage 1 looks like a winner.

Default Afr/idc

DigitalfRiend finally touched on the question I was going to ask:

The tune looks a bit safer with the AFR. Did they just get an ECU reading for that, or did they plug in a wideband somewhere?

Also, did you happen to log the injector duty cycle before and after to see what they are doing?

There was a wideband plugged in, I do not have IDC's though.

How is the SI drive system affected in any way?

Is the gain only noticeable in "S#" mode?

Can you still use "I" and " S" mode setting to change the throttle response?

On the Dyno there was no difference in the numbers with the exception of the I mode seeming to cut the throttle at 6000 - 6500 rpm, can't remember exactly.

Per COBB, the functionality of the SI-Drive is retained by each map. So for any given map, the I & S are notched down in the same proportion from S# the same as they are in stock form.

Have any of you that have an accessport used I mode? If so what is the part throttle feel? What is the difference in general?
