Thanks!

The nitride-hardened crank is carry-over from the earlier STI, and the deeper-webbed rods and the forged pistons are new part numbers

Nice finally some word on what kind of pistons it has.

I love the "man-child" comment that these cars "appeal" to.

I tend to agree with the above statement

They only tested 5.1 sec to 60mph? That's kind of slow compared to the other mags test times of 4.7-4.8. wonder why?

There it is the word out for the new Sti is it sucks like everyone expected. 04-07 Sti owners your car just went up in value.

Three-tenths of a second slower = slow?

Maybe it'd be faster if someone bolted a massive street racer wing to the back? One of you guys try that.

Because a sub-5 second 0-60 time requires a AWD clutch dump launch. A basic idle launch is going to be 5.5-6.0 seconds 0-60. A difference in technique or willingness to abuse the drivetrain is what determines where in that continuum you actually end up. 5.1 means they launched pretty hard but not quite at the limits.

I wish it did. My 06 is still the same price on edmunds. You can say stuff like like when it happens.

Pretty interesting review i would say. The "dorky-looking wagonoid" is kind of starting to grow on me. Oh and i dont listen to Csere anymore at all. Nothing "generates emotional desire" for him besides a BMW.

Think the 04-07 STI's can benefit from the larger intercooler on the 08? It looks like it would fit the older cars.

I thought there might be more action with this post, but with 437 views and only 13 replies or 3% of the people having something to say, it looks like saying nothing speaks volumes.

I still say subaru could have done better.
