08 Sti made me puke!

At the 2008 car show, I was super jazzed to go and see the long anticipated 08 Sti. As I walked into to the car show all the civics, evos, and other cars had lines of people waiting to sit in them, As I approached the Subaru Sti section....well..... maybe 3-4 people looking at it??

I'm beggining to get excited that I can see it finally! I do a walk around. The front end is awsome, killer fog lights a new face lift, very nice 18" gold rims with stencilled Sti Brembo Calipers and a nice exhaust system for a stock car.

I then sit in it, Im 24 by the way and I hate luxury cars, I like the rugged fast feel but also nice interior at the same time. However in this car the seats are almost the same thing as my 2006 sti but instead of blue suede its gay... Im mean gray on black???, The seat color combination looked like my first car a :1996 honda civic Dx seats. The steering wheel was OK I little fancy for my taste, and the gauges were nice to look at. Shift knob felt good, peddals were really nice, Navigation dont care for it im not in a BMW or a SUV! OMG the car has Window frames! I hate window frames!

Then I got out and looked at the rear, Rice! White/clear tails with all LED's, dual tips? why its not a S2000? I looks like a Honda civic hatch with 4 doors and a hatch door IMO.

Then looking at the engine bay what? no Sti stencil on the intercooler??? Its the little things like that that I love about my 06 Sti. And the engine puts out about 5-6hp more WOW! so much more power! And the Subaru rep said that this model is more for "the older crowd" and its a little slower that all previous models, but slower not by much just by a few tenths! And it red lines at 6500 rpms!

Over all its not very easy on the Eyes and I like the inside and out way more on my 06-07 style! Now a good looking new car EVO X!

your seats are alcantra not suede...
but i like the 08's, i have yet to see one in person, i think they are slick though...

alcantra suede? You know what the F im saying though, I am not just saying this cause I own a 06 but the 06-07 Sti is the sickest body so far!

Now the Evo 10 in person... wow!

I don't really care a whole lot for the '08 STI myself, and still I think these threads are pointless. Just as pointless as the love fest threads. Really, I don't actually care about you, regardless of your opinion. I came here to talk about the car. For example, "OMG I hate window frames" is an entirely pointless comment. If you want to talk about the window frames, great, talk about the frames. Not your opinion of them.

I dont think anyones thought on the car I AM ABOUT TO purchase are pointless....

I kninda wish the STI had borrowed the Door style from the Legacy

and the tail light will definatly get smoked film!!

Granted... I dont like the title of the thread... a little harsh<>?

It's not a matter of liking or not liking what others have to say. It's a matter of why beginning a new thread while repeating what's already been said.

We got it. Some don't like the looks/performance/etc. of the '08.

Do you make your purchase decision based on what other people like?

Comments like "I hate <insert random item here>" express an opinion only, and I can't figure out how you'd find that useful in your purchasing decision unless you care what other people think of your car.

Something more appropriate would be "I do not like <random item> because <reason>" Then you can evaluate <reason> to see if it matters to you, and therefore helps shape your decision. It's the unqualified opinion that is completely and totally worthless.

Well actually, If someone dislikes something on the car that strongly, I feel maby I should take notice... My wife HATED the old STI "WING" so much so that we got the LGT instead... and after talking to severAL others they HATED THE SPOILER TOO. Subaru Heared them and offered the more refined
