I am looking at both models this year but if Mitsu doesn't replace my DLP for warranty issues I'll never buy another thing from that company as long as I live.

At this point, both cars look good.

Then again, it may be the ethanol in the gas that might be causing some of these running problems. I work as a service manager at a power sports dealership and the problems we have w ethanol in carbureted engines of all kinds keeps us very busy doing carb cleans and replacing float needles due to corrosion caused by the ethanol, if left sitting for as little as 2-3 weeks. Put another way, the shelf life of our gas here in Ma. is about 2-4 weeks tops. After that, the fuel starts to degrade, even with additives, such as STABIL, etc. Fortunately, ethanol does not seem to affect injectors in the same way, that's why our cars are immune to gas left sitting for extended time periods. Either way, all the vehicles are using the same fuel (I guess) so the playing field should be level in that respect.
This was with the EVO MR that hadn't had the SST fixed yet. Imagine what wil happen after they fix/re-calibrate the SST?

I'm surprised that the 08 STI came out last.

THey added an EVO IX MR to the test and it came out on top in terms of lap speed. I'm curious where an 06 STI would place. Perhaps on top of all the new comers, but right behind the IX MR?
That sounds about right. I think the 06 STI has better turn in and exit speed if I remember correctly.
