Default 2008 STI: Stage 2 Dyno Results (Mustang)

As some of you know, we've been busy working on some 2008 STIs lately. I just finished tuning this one last night.

2008 STI w/ BBS
650 miles
Catless Turboback
California 91 Octane
Protuned Cobb Accessport

Turboback:231WHP / 262 TQ
Custom Tuned w/ Turboback: 264WHP / 297TQ

Running the car on the Mustang MD500SE

The 2008 STI spools considerably faster than the earlier single AVCS motors. It's also making more torque than comparable 2007 STIs on this dyno. Horsepower is right in-line with the 2007.

Like our shop STI, this car has the SI-drive reprogrammed for improved throttle response and driveability.

Let me know if you guys have any questions. Next week the real fun begins

- Dan

I'm lovin how early peak torque is coming on! That's gotta feel great on the road. Does this mean the new turbo is smaller though?

the stock tq (and resultant hp) curve looks all crazy...is it really that up and down and do you notice it when you drive it?

also, what's causing the two little boost abnormalities around 5800-6000 rpm?

Was there any boost creep/spike with ONLY the turboback?

That's a nice improvement, especially on such crappy gas. Nice job.

Edit: The link at the bottom for the bigger graph doesn't appear to work...

Cool, good numbers. That stock graph looks scary. I'm ussuming, in the most basic terms, that the dips in the stock graph is the ecu pulling timing due to knock events, right? It's kinda interesting to see the stock vers tuned AFR lines. Damn the stock AFR is totally stoic near full torque (spool?). Guess the 08's will end up in the same boat as the 07's unless they're tuned.
