Perrin and PDX have. They seem to respond pretty well to a basic tune, and even better to and exhaust and tune.

Can you briefly humor an Evo owner and explain what constitutes a "stage 2" setup on an STi?

Not officially, but I assume soon. They have shipped a preliminary version to Perrin (or was it PDX) to use on their shop car.

Indeed, I have modded my 08 STI. I picked it up before Christmas, and tuned it stock with the UTEC, with a downpipe, and with a complete stage 2 exhaust. After Christmas I removed the engine and took it apart, replaced the pistons with CPs, and took some other interesting measurements. Last week Tim and I started with the new CAN bus Cobb protuner, and have made some good progress.

I was curious to see the exhaust AVCS system, as well as to CC the heads. The shortblock is similiar to the 07 with the exception of a newly designed Rod and different piston rings.

The pistons are the same as previous years, and the heads are the same CC combusion chamber.

Cheers,

Jeff Sponaugle

Perrin, PDX, and Surgeline all have the 08 WRX and 08 STI Cobb Protuner software, and I suspect there are other shops that have them as well. There is some research and development to do on the 08. There are some interesting interactions of the timing maps to be figured out. I have the Accessport on my 08 STI right now, and it is working well.

Cheers,

Jeff Sponaugle
