can you set/reset your pressure manually? On my mini (with nasty run-flat tires) there was a button you would hold down to recalibrate the system after you changed the tire pressure. The sensor would then use that as a basis for variation.

That said, the PRMS was a huge pain in the ass... went off all the time and never once actually detected a flat.

So this is just a warning light? It will not tell you the exact tire pressure for each tire? If that is the case that sucks, I was looking forward to not having to check my pressures after I got off the track.

my tpms light comes on when its real cold here, about three time so far the subaru reset is to jump on the highway for 6 to 10 miles over 45mph and it will reset all the sensors as long as the tire pressure is all withen 1 psi of each other its real sensitive,, im just hoping when summer comes around you can do the botle trick on the sensors. put all four in a pvc pipe and install air valve inflate to 35psi and put tube in trunk viola light off when swapping wheels.

If it's like other Subaru TPMS systems .... It triggers when any tire gets ~25% below recommended pressure, say 26-27 psi. It doesn't trigger if the pressure goes too high. Thresholds cannot be set without a special tool. And it doesn't tell you which tire, you have to check them all. You don't have to change anything when you rotate the tires. Batteries in the sending units should last about 10 years or 100K miles. Senders come on when the wheels reach 7-20 mph, check every 30 seconds, send status every minute, and turn off about 15 minutes after the car stops moving.

I have your same problem and I really don't want to take it back to the dealership and be without it. WTF?!! I read in the manual about the TPMS but it isn't specific it just says it is malfunctioning when it blinks slowly for a minute or so and then just stays lit.

Did you swap the bbs wheels like i did? Or is your tire pressure warning light on for another reason?

Where is the configuration stored? Does each sender have to be programmed? I was under the impression that the senders actually transmit the current tire pressure (every 30 seconds) and the receiving unit is what calculates whether the pressure is low, etc.

The rental Grand Prix that I've been driving to Ottawa on occasion seems to be this way. You can actually see each tire's pressure...this would actually be kind of cool for the track.
