08 Rims

Does anybody know if the 06 or 07 rims will fit the 2008 STI? Will there be fittment issues, such as, caliper clearance etc? Also can anyone give me a idea, besides weight, why I would want or need forged wheels? Is there also a strength issue there? I just use this as a daily driver, dont really want to upgrade (wheels, etc) and I dont autocross. I have an 06 now and will prob just get another one when my lease is up....

Also interested in this answer. 17" snow tires are waaaay less expensive than 18s...

Well,in japan they sell a 17" version of the 08STi, and it looks to have the same rims as my old 05 and the 07Ltd. I'd say its a yes.

yes they'll fit 1" less diameter .5" less width, sounds like a winner for a winter setup.

I would ask if the 08 wheels (BBS) fit the 05-07 STi.
Those are nice wheels.

with the 55mm offset they come with standard I'm leaning towards no.

they would "fit" with stock struts and a 225 or 235 but you wouldn't get anything wider on a GD chassis car.
