Default I just saw it @ southcoast subi/my1cent

I went to southcoast subaru in coasta mesa ca. to retrieve my sti floor mats on sat. night.
As i was exiting the dealership i saw a wrb hatchback with gold rims.

After that first glance i was thinking it was a 2008 wrx and continued to exit until the question hit me '' Since when do gold rims come optional on the WRX''?

I stopped my departure and got out of my sti to inspect this unidentified parked subaru .
I then noticed the flared fenders.
working my way to the back side i noticed that as far as a side view was concerned it was very similar to the other hatches i see on a daily basis i.e. nothing to cause a ''major jaw drop''.

Then i see the small sti badge on back so i start snapping pics with my cell cam phone when my dealer comes outside and verifies this as the 08 sti.

In addition, he stated that it was loaned from Cherry hill n.j. & will be used exclusively for dealer orientation purposes then transfered to another dealership for the same purpose.

Their was no way i could have differentiated this sti from the current crop of like hatch 08 models on the road today unless i saw the badge.

However one exception to that visual notion is the back side.
A unique rear end toughness that i had trouble analyzing as i couldn't answere myself as to why it was such a great butt?

Intimidating is adjective id use to best describe the rear look .
I dont know if its the dual pipes or the wide wheels Or the Aesthetic illusion of a staggered set up as it has a slightly ''jacked up'' or raised then''Tapered down''look.
It possibly could have been the Flared fenders as well as the wide wheels and duel pipes all synergistically creating this "Dragons ASS'' [if you will].

Over all i wasn't partial to this vehicle over my 07 in the least bit.
But dont get me wrong...If my 2007 was not available and the choice of a 2008 sti or any other car in the world in the $40 to $50 k range [im including a bigger pool of autos w the $50k range] were of my choosing Id choose this sti in a sti second . I WOULDNT HAVE TO THINK ABOUT IT.
Why? Because after driving my 07 sti for 10 days in just the ''break in ''period [currently 870 mls] its all sti or nothing at all for me as ill take the bus before parting with my money for something that does not have my heart 100% like the 07 obp i just bought.

All looks aside the 2008 has NON debatable performance aspects that supersede my 2007 sti respectively.
looks are subjective anyway as every car ever made their has never
been a single model car that is '' the 1 '' so to speak in terms of pleasing to look at or euphoria producing looker for all people.
Some one will always have a bad review/comment/ on the looks of every car if not every object in life.
But Performance is a non debatable topic as it is what it is.
Thus ,no wiggle room for argument.

A cars looks arent going to give me the roller coaster g rays or rather the butter flys that i now seek as a form of recreation.
BTW ONLY when traffic is not present and i'm alone in my sti .
IM not a [wanna be] street /track/rally racer but rather just 1 Amature sti owner learning stock and loving it.

It was a subaru dealer pass along [if you will]in that it was for a brief spell going to be tortured by those that will sell them @ south coast in the near future then it gets forwarded to the next dealership for same etc...
IMO its not The Exterminator my 2007 nor 06 make me think of when i look at them.
What i do think when i see it is... If it had zero badging i wouldnt look twice as i wouldve thought it was what ever those korean things are?hundai, hunday , wtf evr its called or a mazda of some sort.
Now to give it credit i must say its got a bad to the bone rear end, an ass to die for imo as it just looks intimidating as heck from the flank.
& After having my puppy dragon for 9 days w/ 754 mls on the clock i can honestly say that ill never own a different car unless [ god forbid] a chick or being paralized or if my hands are cut off.
Basically all in the same catagory of nullifications of sti or any NON grocery getters for vehicle ownership for that matter.
So yes!!! id take the 08 sti over every car out their.WHY? Because if you told me my 07 was going to look like a pinto but still drove like the sti ... Id be pissed for sure but i still would want her as i love her with all my heart.
IMO Pretty is here today gone the next as subjective as it is .Perfomance is fact that has little wiggle room for debate IMO & im told the 08 is all sti in that regaurd with whp to boot .Late-Turbohemi an

Yeah, I keep going back and forth w/ my initial impressions of the vehicle. You can always post good shots but seeing it in person you see all the not so good angles and how bland the car now looks (even though that is more a rally design benefit).

So sorry people! I am a proud functionally illiterate man child.
In addition,i am a student at the happy day school & work shop for the 5150 of greater Los Angeles.

Seriously gang, i am sorry and quite embarrassed.

I typed that out on my nokia n93i while in line at jerrys' diner of all places.
MY BAD! Wont happen again.

Ill edit and re post the POS.

Every FU##ing thing i posted/threaded yesterday on that over priced gadget
has had same end results.
On top of the hard to press keys my calls constantly drop.

It has Slowest firm ware [os symbian] of all the smart devices i've owned.
The Bandwith is worthless for streaming any thing of interest.
The worst part is the price i paid nokia for it.
Im throwing it on craigs list ASAP.

I love it when i can defer the blame to hi tech gadgets & not my inferior swiss boarding school education or my parents who are also siblings.

LOL...it's all good. Use that high tech gadget for pictures next time and wait until you get to a PC to write the text. No worries though. Good info.
