LOL, the pie chart currently stands as more people thinking the EVO X will win. I agree with them unfortuantely.

Even if the Evo X were substantially quicker than the STI, I'd rather have the Subaru. Most people will say the Evo IX edges out the 06 STI in performance, but I'd much rather daily drive the STI. Same holds true for the '08 models.

My guess is it will be very close, as in the past. It's virtually guaranteed that both companies are very familiar with what the other one is putting together and have made efforts to ensure they're a good matchup.

The pie chart is almost even. Performance wise, I think this is the closest these two cars have ever been. Of course they'll be thousands of comparison tests. I look foward to Top Gear's test.

The new Evo is heinous. The old car was pretty attractive and has a lot of great things going for it, but when it comes to overall build quality, safety, and fun, the STI gets the nod.

I can't wait to get a new STI. The company I work for has an arrangment that allows me to get a new Subaru at invoice. I kind of wish a sunroof and heated seats were available though.

1/4: 13.3 @ 102.3
60-0: 106ft (06 STI: 115ft)
Slalom: 72mph <- !!! (06 STI: 68.1mph, Evo IX: 70.7mph)
Skidpad: 0.90g

Have you guys seen the Evo IX GSR vs Evo X GSR comparison? The Evo IX spanked the poop out of the new car.

. I really don't care about magazine numbers, but if the STI consistenly spanks the Evo X that would be real sweet. It would shut up a lot of the Internet Mouths.
