2008 Canadian STI Specs (PDFs)

This confirms that the Canadian model gets wiper de-icer, heated side mirrors, and heated seats with 4-settings. Thank goodness because scraping side mirrors in -30C weather really sucks. It looks like we get the Midnight Blue Pearl too. No pricing yet in these sheets.

The US model must come with these as well. It doesn't make sense that the US wouldn't get heated seats and mirrors.

i mean charge more and keep pulling options off.

no recaros, no smart key, no heated seats, no heated mirrors,

The U.S. didn't get heated anything until 07 on the Limited model. The Canadian spec has been different.

Really? I thought the 04-05 had a heated driver seat, while the 05 Canadian model had both fronts and heated mirrors. Are you sure it wasn't until 07?

My '05 didn't have either of those options Digitalfiend and I opted for everything when I purchased it.

Yea, I picked up two STI's in Washington and both did not come with heated anything!

Although, I'm not sure I really miss heated seats in my 06 because they are cloth. Leather is a different story though! I loved the heated seats in my 01 Prelude SE!

STI's have never had any options really...except that popular equpiment group B or something...basically shift knob, short throw shifter, and auto dimming mirror were the only real options. no heated seats since they presumably add weight! LOL.

I just looked at the Transport Canada list of Admissible cars from the US. Interestingly, they state that the following are INadmissible :

2007 AND 2008 Forester 2.5X built
after September 1st, 2007
2007 AND 2008 Forester Sports
2.5X built after September 1st,
2007
2007 AND 2008 Forester 2.5X with
premium package built after
September 1st, 2007
2007 AND 2008 Forester 2.5X L.L.
Bean built after September 1st,
2007
2007 AND 2008 Impreza built
AFTER September 1st, 2007
2007 AND 2008 STI built AFTER

September 1st, 2007

I wonder why there is a change? Any ideas?
Perhaps this statement is the reason:
The vehicle appears in the "INADMISSIBLE"

column of the List of Vehicles Admissible from the United States. In this case, it is
probably that the manufacturer does NOT authorize the installation of an electronic immobilization system that meets the requirements

of CMVSS 114, for safety reasons. The vehicle therefore may NOT be imported into Canada.

Not really. If you have leather, heated seats are a must. But the alacantra feels like it warms up quickly. My wife has heated leather seats, and you know to turn on the damn bun warmers when it is freezing outside. I never missed it on the STi.

well 04 WRX had heated seats as an option.
just the sti didn't.

I don't see fog lights listed, the photo also shows the car without fogs.

wrx limited had heated everything and moonroof since at least 06
the 07 sti limited finally introduced these options
