IWSTI Addict since: Feb 2007 Trader Rating: (1) | would you still consider buying a new STI with the new body style? the reason i'm asking that is because i saw some people saying that they never liked the hatch idea but they could live with that if there's a big improvement over the current version , .. I'd prefer a sedan to a hatch, but the hatch alone would not stop me from buying. But a hatch without good seats, even as an option, isn't going to make me reach for my wallet. |

regarding the WRC; I love the SWRT, I love it with a passion. I always have faith in the next rally. Chris Atkinson is the truth(Subaru gave him a very nice and long contract a few months ago) and Solberg is the proven champ(he's not going anywhere). The real question should be: If Subaru sweeps the WRC with Drivers and Manufacturers championships next year, do you really think they will move a few extra STIs stateside? | |

IWSTI Addict since: Jun 2005 Trader Rating: (0) | I love hatches, and I think the new suspension geometry on the WRX drives well. I expect the STI will be even better. Only other things will stop me from buying a new STI - like no DSG type transmission and bad seats. If Mitsubishi releases and EVO hatch I might go in that direction. J |

IWSTI Addict since: Oct 2003 Trader Rating: (0) | Same. I knew about Subaru because of the WRC but that wasn't the reason I chose the STI. If I recall correctly, Subaru never won the WRC with the 04-07 body styles, so I doubt that influenced many people here. |

| STI Driver | ^^^ I was thinking the same thing. Honestly, I don't really follow the WRC much anymore but I do know that Subaru hasn't really won anything big in the last couple years. This had no influence on me when I purchased my car in 2006 and don't think it would matter if I was considering a 2008. This ad is not endorsed by this member.
