Base Price: $34,995
Plus BBS Package: $36,995 ($2,000)
Plus Navigation Package: $38,795 ($1,800)
Plus Destination and Delivery: $39,440 ($645)

Welcome to the $40,000 STi....

Power: 305 hp @ 6,000 RPM
Torque: 290 lb/ft @ 4,000 RPM

VDC standard, but it can be turned off

Standard wheels are cast alloy 18x8.5 5 spoke. BBS multi-spoke wheels in the same size are optional

Navigation package is the only other option.

Dunlop SP Sport 600 Summer Tires 245/40R18 is the only tire.

US Spec weight is 3,395 lbs.

Standard stereo has 10 speakers with in dash 6 disc CD changer with aux in port. Navigation equipped cars add Audyssey Multi EQ to optimize sound in each passenger location. Video jack is also included if you want to play games using the Nav screen while parked.

Motor has Dual AVCS (on both intake and exhaust). SI Drive, of course.

14.7 PSI is max boost. Looks like the AVCS on the exhaust and a bunch of other small changes are responsible for the small power gains.

DCCD system is revised.

Super Sport ABS uses input from various sensors to control pressure at each wheel. Front rotors are now 13 inches up front and 12.6 inches diameter in the rear.

Minimum octane rating has been lowered from 93 to 91 AKI minimum. Nice for people in Cali.

EPA Mileage ratings: 17/23 city/highway.

They have a WRB STi with gold BBS wheels on the floor today. I will try and get some more pics.

Wish I knew how much the BBS option would go for. Around 37k for a car with BBS wheels?? Just a guess. The rest of the info above is straight from the press kit.

since when does 12hp = 0hp?

12 hp is definately an increase... what you may fail to recognize is that those 12hp are only peak, and you may find larger gains throughout the powerband.

Why 12? My '06 is listed as 300HP 300 Lbs tq. So only 5 HP gain, which is nothing. Dont know about the HP through the powerband, i am sure there is more low end tq, but i think all in all its going to be such a noticeable difference.

Actually, SAE corrected, it's only 293hp/293lb/tq.

AVCS on the exhaust is pretty huge for the tuning market.

The weight is a disappointment though.

Any turbo specs?

Someone today told me the loaded STI with nav is not going to be 40K, more like 37K or so. And he insisted that his (along with two others for his customers) will be arriving in mid-December, not in February. Old news? I didn't know it was going to be so soon. On top of that he ain't paying anywhere near MSRP, even as among the earliest buyers.
