yea Subaru doesnt have the Recaros as an option..

but who cares? arent seats a relatively simple upgrade?

if you get it as an option from the dealer its gonna cost you thousands!

why dont you just import one of these

Or... just get yourself some BRIDES with the $ or so?

everyone is whining about the seats..
Yea yea i understand that if you are paying $32K+ for a car it should COME with it.. but you also do understand that it wont be STANDARD so ... just spend your money wisely and get better seats!
besides.. u can prolly sell the current 08 seats to a 02-05 wrx'er as an upgrade for like $1000 anyway.

because people want a factory seat with the side airbags. that's the entire reason behind it, plus some don't want to drop thousands on some nice seats.

I never stated that the new STi is longer, it just feels bigger due to the larger interior volume.

You are right that the new model is shorter by 2 inches overall, but the wheelbase is longer by about 4 inches. This suggests the front and rear overhangs should be shorter on the new model. However, it looks to me like the front is about the same and the rear overhang is shorter. Doesn't mean much performance wise, except for perhaps the longer wheelbase.

I had both a Legacy GT Wagon and a WRX wagon before the STi and in spite of the suspension mods, they never felt as good as my current car does now (Accessport, X brace, performance damper, strut bar). The bobblehead "feature" is the only thing I would still like to get rid of (are fixed perch Ohlins in my future?)). There is no doubt the new STi will be fast, but I fear the current car's performance feel will be lost in the move to a roomier, quieter car. If not, then score a big win for Subaru.

I really like that stearing wheel they have on the 08's, i'd take one without the buttons of course, also I like how they separated the tail lights, I don't like the unibrow they have on the WRX's. Slowly the car is growing on me, but I wouldn't trade my 07 for it!

Yo, Mckman, I live right near Studio City, how old are you and what schools did you go to around there?
