IWSTI Addict since: Nov 2007 Trader Rating: (0) | I'm not a huge fan but I think the car has seriously potential. It will be interesting to see how it evolves. I've seen some modded ones (Japan photos I think) that look pretty tight. This ad is not endorsed by this member. Please register or login to hide this ad. |

Hey man. Havne't seen you post in a while. I had no idea the Veyron had 3 exahust tips. I was wondering though about how much flow they needed given the 16 cylinders and 4 turbos. I guess this makes a lot more sense. You're not seroiusly considering giving up your bad-to-the-bone ultimate Impreza are you? Don't go to the hatch! LOL. | |

IWSTI Addict since: Dec 2004 Trader Rating: (0) | The Veyron needs this many exhaust tips! ![]() ![]() Back on topic. I think the car looks great. It's exciting, as this is a new platform, and i cannot wait to drive one. Hopefully this new hatch will take us to the top of WRC again. |

IWSTI Addict since: Oct 2007 Trader Rating: (0) | i think it looks fine with the four tips. i dont think it would look right (stock bumper) with anything different. if it has twin tips they wouldnt fit. i have a twin tip perrin on my 04 i think it looks better and well more stock than a single huge tip can. |

IWSTI Addict since: Aug 2003 Trader Rating: (3) | I'm not trying to get you guys all fired up. With that said: I think the new car looks like a $2.00 protitute. This is clealy my opinion which is completely subjective. On a side note, I really do hope Subaru can get back to the top of the WRC. They just have to fire Petter Solberg and hire a fast driver. Regardless. Here is what I don't like. I hate the look of the front end with that stupid looking grill. It just doesn't look original and the headlights don't really match with the rest of the lines along the side of the car. When I look at the rear I can't find any pleasing lines. It doesn't speak to me... My eyes stop right there. I don't want to look any further. Like a woman with a mash potato ass. Four door hatch cars will never sit in my garage. Unless my woman wants it. Even then I'm sure I could talk her into a proper car though. -I wish Subaru would eliminate the top mounted intercooler. -The interior looks mediocre at best. $35K Really! -Four exhaust tips. If it had a V12 I would understand. -I was looking for more of a raw type of car that scares women and children and ricers away. Like when I drove to work in my 04 back in July of 03. -Why is the rev limit on the tach set at 6700. I would think the engine should be capable of 7500rpm and the turbo mounted in the right place. I'm glad they fixed the rear suspension. The EVO X is going to murder the STi on track. |

IWSTI Addict since: Jul 2005 Trader Rating: (0) | Lack of options compared to the Japanese or European counterpart is a tragedy. Options like Recaro seats (fix the pass. side sensor, ok?), push start and heated seats? really dissapoint me. And dropping the 18" 04-07 BBS wheel design even though the STI mock up has them is bewildering. I was so hyped on purchasing the 08 STI that i'll just wait till the next year or maybe later until an iteration with the options that I want are available. The Evo X looks mighty tempting... Btw: I loathe the new fog lights on the STI. Kinda wish, you can opt not to have the fog lights and still have the Nav. option. Sigh, stop shafting your beloved fans and give them what they want! |

IWSTI Addict since: Sep 2005 Trader Rating: (1) | The Evo X is 300 lbs heavier, I don't expect it to be the king of drag racing anymore. And I only see one Evo for every 10 STIs out on the road course, so that doesn't seem too worrisome either. As much as I think Subaru could have done better with the '08, comparing it to the Evo X makes the STI a winner. The Evo X is a fugly pig that has to relay on fancy computers to get it around a corner This ad is not endorsed by this member. Please register or login to hide this ad. |
