Article doesn't tell us anything we don't already know. The USDM service manual has already been leaked and the curb weight is less than published in that article. Other reviewers claimed that body roll and ride dynamics were much better than earlier STIs.

Don't put much stock in these articles until somebody reviews the USDM version.

I just posted my response to this on NASIOC:

Quote:
That was one ****ty "first drive" review. So much guessing and fluff. Weighs over 3400lbs? Um no. Less than 300lb-ft? We already know the Euro 2.5L has 296hp/300lb-ft, so once again, wtf.

Their review of the handling is quite the contrast to the last few JDM previews not to mention the article on the Australian car...

I guess the haters will gobble all this up as gospel though.
That was a dumb "first drive"...

Funny, typical Tony Swan article. I bet if you were to look up past articles on other cars, only the model would change. I had the chance to ride with him at a press review a few years ago, whereas he can drive the stink out of any car, he can't write a review worth, well you get it!

It also includes a nav-system option, an STI first, though U.S. models won't get the optional Recaro seats available in Japan.

That is the biggest downer right there. I was acutally starting to like this car and really loved the interior. Man o man. Guess it's another thing for sojdm, japanparts to start ordering.

It says no Recaro seats for US. I don't know... The more I look at it and the more info we get, it doesn't make sense for someone with a relatively new STi ('06, '07) to get the new '08.
