Do the 08's have the light switch???

Do the 08's have the infamous light switch on the top of the steering column? I can't see it in any of the photos.

I don't even know why that switch is there to begin with. It doesn't turn off automatically when you don't have the keys in the ignition anyway. It's one of those switches I never use like my appendix.

Doesn't it turn on the same lights as the first click on the headlight stick? I thought the only difference was that it stayed on after the car shut off which enabled the battery to be drained. I have owned 6 Subarus and have never understood the functionality of this switch!

My thoughts exactly. I almost fell victim to leaving it turned on in a garage and if my coworker had not called me to tell me my parking lights were on, i'd have a dead battery by the end of a long 10 hour shift.

the reason to is if your on the side of the road or some other location, you dont want to leave your car running but you want the parking lights on to allow others to see you.

it shouldnt drain the battery too fast since its only running small lights.

but for the most part its useless. but its just one of those things its just not the same with out it.

Pretty much useless IMO. If I'm stuck on the side of the road I'll use my hazards.

on the specs posted i think jdm and edm are auto lvl. where ours our manual adj. but i could just be seeing things

in some countries in Europe, it is mandatory to use that switch when you park. I've used it to draw extra attention to my car when parked near corners rather than switch my hazards on.
