That´s odd. The drawings (schematics) I was shown were different. There I saw a drawing of the bucketseat, which is shown there with the Recaro logo, and a real BUCKETseat, similar to the one seen here:

So I am going to take a little trip down to the dealership in an hour or so to have either confirmed. Which is it?

If the standard seats are flat-assed and the optional Recaro buckets are the ones seen in the pics above... then I´m a little bummed, but not turned off.

I´ll let you guys know.

Ok here´s the deal...

The flat-ass are the standard ones. I saw the schematic again and I must have just mistaken the Recaro´s to be more of a bucketseats, like on the pic I posted here above. They are however the buckets shown in the bunch above.

So it´s like this...

Optional Recaro seats:

Standard flat-asses:

More info: The Push Start button is not on every STi model. Same goes for keyless entry. To get that you need the Navigation package which appears to be only available with the Recaro/BBS package. The biggest package also includes fog lights.

So there you go.

More importantly to me, is this how will it work in the US or is this just for JDM? If these are the US options as well, I am pumped!!

On a sheet I have at home it does not list the Recaros as optional for the USDM market. On it, itīs only JDM and EDM. A member either here or at NASIOC said a salesman confirmed to him that the Recaros are not going to be available in the US. However, this can all be wrong.

That would be truly absurd. I don't get it. Is there some regulatory, crash safety something or other in the States that makes it not possible to get these here??

Grrr.

Again - may have been posted in other threads but the info I am giving is official JDM data.
There is a manual mode for DCCD. It's right in the dealer (of Subaru's) STI brochure. It was posted elsewhere on here...

Yup, that's often the case. Check the Audi RS4 seats (and steering wheel)in the European market compared to ours...
