Default So there's not a lot going on here...

I keep revisiting this site expecting.. (well now, not expecting) new info and pics about the 08STi..

I visit the Evo X websites often and theres a lot more action going on about the X in those forums. Like the X being sold there in dealers.. I wish Suby would release more things about the 08STi to keep up with Mitsu.

I wonder how many months after the X the STi will go on sale?

I thinks its possible a lot of people will buy the X first because they can't wait for the Suby to come out to see it in person. Suby could lose a lot of sales to Mitsu.

I personally think the Suby will look freaking awesome in person.. so aggresive with those fender flares and those 275 width tires.. well not 275 but you get the point. I just hope it keeps the unequal flat four sound and kicks ass in the HP department..

Good!! When and if I buy the 08 it would be that much MORE "special"...
Subaru knows what it"s doing.......In the Marketing dept. And if the 08 Runs and Handles strong......Which I gotta feeling it will.....Look-out.

That would be Great!.....More to think about....We should have a poll: ~Will the 08 Sti be Superior to the 07"s?~ ( power-handling). I think Yes...I have read some think it will be the same.

those are the same people that have a new car every 8 months anyway. we're not talking about a $5,000 civic here, we're talking about 35,000 supercars. people will get what they want.

i have no fear that subaru is going to go out of business because it loses a few sales of their most premium american car to mitsubishi.

suby sales will always be higher than mitsu, the new sti is prob gonna kick the evo x's ass.
i just have a feeling it's going to be more than expected.

Suby has x amount of new 07 STi's on dealer lots, so too much info on the 08's would cause a drop in price of the 07's because the "bigger, better" replacement is out there = Suby loosing money.

I keep looking for new pic's at least once a day also. With the Tokyo auto show starting 3 weeks from now I'd hope we'll see some sneak preview pics soon.

I don't know if this is old news, but it is new to me. The Evo X will be slower than previous generations. See link below for spec sheet (Evo X). I am hoping SUBARU don't do the same to the new STI (straight line that is).

Uhmmm, did you really just utter the "S" word when talking about an Evo and a Scooby? Excellent handling cars, but not even close to Supercar status...I owned an R34 GTR and it's alot more car than a Scoob or an Evo on the big end, alot rarer and it isnt a Supercar...

okay..maybe super car was a slight exageration. but the point i was trying to make is clear. if the ONLY reason you get an evo X over a new STI is because you can't wait, i think you're wasting your money and not researching your vehicles.

Right you are. It's a factory-backed hot rod version of a very famous and popular rally car, based on a mid-level economy sedan. It may be able to whup on certain so-called "super" cars at the track, but that does not make it a supercar.
