IWSTI Addict since: Dec 2005 Trader Rating: (1) | Alright, I noticed when i check the oil dipstick that on the side that has the two letters for full (F) and low (or whatever the other letter is), it reads below the F, but on the other side of the dipstick it reads up to the circle cutout above the F. Why would that be, and where should the oil level be? This ad is not endorsed by this member. Please register or login to hide this ad. |

Even tho it makes you/me feel better to see the oil at the full mark, I like to run it closer to the 50%-75% zone. Less chance of windage/blow-by during aggressive driving and you still have 90% of the required oil in the motor. Note, 1/2 mark on the dipstick doesnt mean you are half empty. It just means that you are about 1/2 qt below full. You will still have almost 4 1/2 qts in there. |
