yes it is close to the 4202. the s374 has a 83mm exhaust wheel compared to a 82mm on the 42r. the biggest difference is $$. i got this turbo brand new for 1/2 the price of a 4202r and from what i have been reading about the bw stuff, you cant go wrong with it. it is a journal bearing turbo and not ball bearing but manages to spool vary close if not the same as the 42r and makes more power threw out the power band due to the 7 blade wheel and extended tip technology. plus its a all out stronger turbo. can handle more boost and abuse then a bb turbo. always seem to want to try new things to so hears my test for the big borg warner turbos on subarus

yes the block that i have is close decked, sleeved and o ringed. not crawford. not a fan. its a axis parts bought block. a local guy and i are going to be building it.

Random fyi but Axis Power Performance is now called RAW Performance. Was just over there yesterday and Ron had about 14 new Subaru short blocks stacked up in boxes for future projects. He does all the engine work himself.

got some stuff built! made a swirl pot for my fuel system and mounted it in its new home.

also got the whole kit put on and all hooked up. oil lines and pump are all lined up and working. as well as mounted the oil pump to the new carbing under brace.

also got my stuff back from paint. two wingless trunks (one has the key hole shaved) and a freshly painted front bumper and lip.

also installed a set of bc inverted coilovers. the ride sits low now. looks so tight! time to start working on making this thing hook up.

I got 2 questions for you, firstly your not coating the new turbo like you did with 40r and secondly, what do you cover the turbo inlet with to protect it from debris? Is it just a simple metal mesh because I cant exactly see any type of conventional everyday filter fitting in between your bumper and turbo because of the configuration.
