Default Blew my engine, what next?

Well 2 nights ago (only 5 days after buying the car w only 30,000 miles on it) i blew the motor racing a boosted s2000 (won BTW) well now im not sure what i should do?

Gruppe-s has a used JDM FXT EJ257 engine which they claim is Similar to the USDM STI Engine.

Anyone have any kind of info on this engine? or is just the wronge way of looking at how to solve the prob. all i know is im not spending 9K on a new engine thats not going to get me anything (performance wise)

I have about 6to 10K i want to spend but i wanna keep that down cause i want to put that $ into the engine and suspension.

My first impression is to say "Learn how to drive?". I love hearing the stories about blown motors and tranny's like the problem is an inherent Subaru issue. Not bashing you, just my opinion. The FXT motor is actually a nice engine, its the forrester block which is a cheaper version of the STI motor. If I were you I would be looking at a crawford block and cosworth heads if you can swing it?

Wow...5 days w/ the car and you blew it up. I think that might a record.

EDIT: I just saw your other post describing your mods, and now it makes perfect sense.

I wouldnt recommend crawford, there are enough examples of how he treats his customers if they have a problem. I would recommend Cobb, Gruppe S, Axis, etc for any of your built motor needs.

By blown, what do you mean? Broken ring lands? Cracked block? Spun bearings? Blown head gasket? Cracked head? Broken rod?

If your block is not trashed you may be able to get a core out of it...

pretty much, i just baught the car, and the previous owner (according to my mechanic who tore the engine appart yesterday) abused the car, and didnt use the right kind of oil and it was a matter of time before something happened.

he said even if i causght it a day before or 2 months down the line, it wouldnt have made a differance, the engine was going to break.

my plan is for a DD with around 400 hp (not too extream, but enough) built for the windy country roads.

FOr those of you who think its me not the car, im coming form a 550 hp SVT cobra. i know how to drive correctly. that v8 is weaker then the EJ.

spun barings, damaged valve train, and a rod ready to be thrown.
