Should I order a cobb heatshield too, or is it just easier to cut the old one?

you can cut the old one and get the speedmonkee "non-chimney" heatshield to put above that (it mounts on the passenger ic bracket). i use this dual heatshield set-up and it works great.

Did you find a place to get it coated?

I just got a used Indivia V2 DP and I'm looking into getting it coated locally before I install it. So is it safe to say I can ditch the heatshield if I get it coated?

I'm going to try to find a place to do it locally for me (stl) but if I can't then I will probably send it to www.jet-hot.com even though Ive heard their prices a little high. I dont know about the heatshield. I just bought one to be safe
