IWSTI Addict since: Oct 2004 Trader Rating: (11) | i have not gotten my car retuned yet, since the new clutch has to be installed first.. however, i threw a cel today and keep in mind my car has not been running 100% at all. i don't know what the code is, but i'll try to get it read my question is my car isn't running nicely in boost....after 5 psi, it seems to get real choppy and the exhaust will sound like that and it just hesitates all the way to 7k. 5 psi and below, it acts fine...sometimes it will idle funny. i know i really need to retuned, i just want to know if this could possibly be something like a boost leak somewhere or a bad injector or cylinder misfires. | Platinum Member | I would be more inclined to think that you're running too rich just based on your description. Do you have a lot of black smoke when you get into boost? |

IWSTI Addict since: Jun 2004 Trader Rating: (14) | Sounds like a tuning issue. Are you hitting full boost or is the car hesitating? You should read that code asap and I'm sure it will give you much better insight into the issue. |

IWSTI Addict since: Oct 2004 Trader Rating: (11) | no smoke, but it use to spew black smoke....too rich sounds like a problem also cause it does backfire and pop a lot more. it gets to full boost which is only 16 psi, it's just after 5 it's all choppy and hesitates and isn't powerful at all. i also think it's tuning and i knew it wouldn't run correct anyway...i just want to make sure it's not a leak or something. i'll try to get the code read tomorrow. |

IWSTI Addict since: Dec 2005 Trader Rating: (0) | If it didn't throw a code until after the clutch was changed then I would check all the electrical connections to make sure they're connected properly. Did it run this crappy before the clutch was changed, or did it get worse after the clutch? |

IWSTI Addict since: Oct 2004 Trader Rating: (11) | i reset my ecu and it's completely fine now. i think it's cause i had my meth spraying and it was acting weird, so i turned it off and the ecu went bonkers. This ad is not endorsed by this member. Please register or login to hide this ad. |
