You don't need to ask your tuner about this one. The choice is easy. Nismo injectors. Period. They are easier to tune than the PE or Helix injectors ... and will give you a better idle. Moreover, they have more than enough headroom for a 20G install.

How did you discover they weren't flowing right?

Well my tuner {scott siegel} and i diagnosed the idle, cel misfire codes, the choppiness of the power delivery, and the egt temps to the injectors. Also flow tested. Its been quite the headache because im so anal about my car , i will let u guys know what the outcome is.
Scott says he has had recent issues with guys with the pe 850"s so i dunno.....

On CBN's car the EGT sensor was showing VERY high EGT at idle and cruise. It dropped at WOT... When that injector was switched to another position the EGTs dropped (now being under a different injector). That seems to point to one injector being a bit "light."

For a long time the PE's have been SUPER consistent. We've had a few cars lately that seemed possibly have one injector that ran different than the others...

The Nismos have risen to the top for the moment as far as consistency...

This normally makes sense. However, as far as injectors for the STI are concerned, the Nismos are the best injectors available for the STI when you are going with a 20G install. Cobb agrees. Best in terms of quality. Best in terms of installation. Best in terms of idle characteristics. I could go on ... but I won't. If a tuner comes out and says the Helix or PE injectors are a better choice than the Nismos for a 20G install then I would doubt the knowledge and integrity of the Tuner.

Here is a comparison of the stock injector vs. the Helix. Yick. Helix has double o-rings, it is shorter, feels less solid, and you must use new retaining clips.

http://www.bescaredracing.com/sti/fu...elix/vs_stock/

In contrast, the Nismos are almost identical to stock.

The Nismos are easier to tune too (considering the end result when all is said and done).

There is lots of info on modified injectors. From what I read, I would go the PE or Helix route or SARD. StaticXmotorsports has the SARD 850's.

I'm having a hard time finding the "Nismo" injectors...
Are they sold under the name "Jecs"?

Also, are they just plug & play or do you have to modify anything?

Whats the average price for these anyway?

a quick search just now via Google showed me that they are going to be around $500 for the full set... most of the sites i looked at are actually in Japan.

(shipping costs and time may be a problem )
