Default Anyone have collapsing problems with a samco inlet hose?

Hey does anyone have this problem with the samco inlet hose? I know that the perrin and gp moto hoses suck and are prone to collapsing. Just want to know who has a samco and how much boost are you pushing and has it collapsed yet? The new APS hard pipe looks nice but looks like a nightmare to install.

There were actually two people I saw post that their samco was collapsing on them. As for the Perrin, I only saw about three people who actually claimed it collapsed on them. And Jeff Perrin was continuously asking to get any collapsing pipes back so he could verify the cause. It sounded like there were a few bad ones and that problem has been connected. You also missed the Slowboy on your list, some people like that one and some hate it. Seems like there is another big brand one still, as well as a Perrin style one on eBay too.

FWIW all inlets are a PITA to install IMO; but it can be done with lots of patience.

I still attribute some of the collapsing to people using too restrictive of a stock intake. Not saying that is the only reason, but what intake do you have?

Nice how long have you had your inlet tube? I also wonder if it's got anything to do with my intake I am using? Some say the APS will make your tube collapse. I am thinking of switching. I got a GP moto inlet tube, a GP moto MAF hose and want to just get a GP moto intake to match everything else.

Never had a problem or you have had a problem? What kind of intake are you using?

I hope my APS inlet doesn't collapse.
It is a pain in the A$$ to install. But well worth it as far as piece of mind goes.

Did you cut the stock inlet when you removed it? why not put that back on....you would only be losing 1-5 hp over the other standard inlet aftermarket pieces.
