sorry to casuse conflict, but the sti runs pig rich out of the box.. .running a DP is nothing to worry about so long as your not creeping. you can creep on the stock turboback and some do. never heard of an sti running lean due to just a DP.. that doens't make sense to me.. cobb ap makes you run EVEN more rich. Get what you want.. but getting the DP first is a gamble because you could creep really badly.

Dude - stage 1 is def better than stock.... THE BIGGEST DIFFERENCE imho is the bump in torque at low rpms (just like the cobb dyno graphs show you).

where i noticed it MOST was the better response when puttering around town at low rpms <3K. Also, helped get rid of some of the lag/smoothed out the powerband/seat of your pants feeling.

I have a typhoon. I still have stock exhaust. Have the stock boost gauge (havent used continuous boost measurement via the AP) and I am holding the adverstised boost well with no signs of creep/overboosting (vased on stock gauge)

Get AP and protune. On stock TBE you lose 12 hp over aftermarket TBE and protune and will equal the OTS stg 2 tune with an aftermarket TBE for less money.
