Default BCS without tune?

I just got my Prodrive 3-port boost solenoid and I am wondering if I can install and run it without tuning for it (for the time being). I will be getting tuned sometime in the next couple of weeks but I'm not exactly sure when. Is it safe, or do i need to wait until my car is going in to be tuned?

I did a little research and answered my own question. I would like to run this in interrupt mode, which would mean I NEED to tune for it before doing any real driving, but I'm confused as to how to install it this way. the perrin ebcs has clearly labeled ports but this doesn't. anyone know which port is which?

I went with the Turbo XS Dtec. It has gear base boost maps so I can hit full boost in the lower gears then dial it back when the engine loads in 5th and 6th. I also like the fact that I can have a switch to set another boost map when my wife drives the car

Your money is better spent on ECU tuning (Cobb AP or ECUTek) or a piggyback system (UTEC).

DO NOT get a boost controller. the only time its ok is if you get tuned for it, and you really dont need one untill you get a new turbo

dlouie87, next time instead of starting another thread in the correct forum please just PM a moderator to move your thread. You can see a list of the online moderators by clicking on View Forum Leaders towards the bottom of the main forum page.
