Question Internal wastegate vs. External wastegate

Hey I tried doing a search on this and couldn't find anything. What I want to know is what is the differance between having an internal and an external wastegate? I know with a external I would have to get a different up pipe cuz that is where it mounts. Help me out!

Difference is about $800 in parts + fabrication for the wastegate tube to go back into the exhaust if you don't want to live with the noise. EWGs offer slightly better control than the DB 38mm internal gate and substantially better boost creep prevention compared to a smaller internal gate.
