| Junior STI Driver | I posted this over at nabisco a few days ago, thought you guys could use the info too! You guys can thank me later. 1st Subaru parts of Auburn (https://www.1stsubaruparts.com/partscat.html) has A FEW HUNDRED of the highly coveted BLACK Tokyo Roki 0100 filters in stock. Call them up, I just orderd 10 filters from them. They are very nice and very fast. You won't be disappointed. No, I do not work for them as they are in Oregon, and I'm in St. Louis. Regarding the black vs white filter question, the black ones appearently have a much better filter element. Plus the white one had a recall for leakage. Some say the black ones are being brought back by SOA, however the Auburn Subaru parts guy said the recall only applied to a batch of white ones. BTW SubaruPartsForYou has the black one in stock but only sells them in batches of 12, for msrp. |

You can also get a slightly larger oil filter (more filtration surface area, slight increase in the car's oil capacity, zero downsides) from any of these companies: Bosch 3323, Mobil1 M1-110, or Purolator PL14610 (or L14610). I honestly prefer the PL14610 to the OEM black one. The filtration medium is excellent in the PureOne, and since it's got more active filter area, it'll not only filter better, but filter longer. Oh, and it's about the same price as the OEM black one and available at Pep Boys. -kwantam | |

The pure one purolator is a great filter that can easily be found at the local auto parts store. This ad is not endorsed by this member. Please register or login to hide this ad. |
