| Junior STI Driver | I bought a VF39 not too long ago from another member here and when i got it, everything seemed good. Im using the turbo in a custom project so it has just been sitting for a few months. About 3 weeks ago, i put some Mobile 1 synth in through the oil feed passages and taped both sides shut. The turbo has just been sitting and last night i walked past it to find oil leaking out of hot side. Did I some how damage the turbo by filling it and letting it sit, or was it probably already bad? When i got it, there was no evidence of any leeks. It just had orange residue on the hotside which looked to me like rust, but the seller said it was from fuel additives. What do you guys think?
