Default Oil Temps at the track?

I took my STI to thunderhill this weekend (ambient temps mid 70s deg F), I have an oil temp gauge(sensor installed at the oil filter) and I was reading 120 deg C max... typ about 110 deg or so... is this normal and acceptable for oil temps?

running mobil 1 5w30, wat kinda temps are you guys running especially during hotter weather?

PS. 120deg C = 248 deg F

I don't have an oil temp. gauge but last time I went to the track my oil pressure was way down. normally at idle it is around 2.0 bar, but after each session it dropped as low as 1.0 bar, sometimes even a bit lower, indicating temps were way above normal.

stock 06 sti - 0 mods

i didnt notice a drop in oil pressure although i'm most probably keeping my eyes on the track. the oil temp caught the corner of my eye coz i saw the red warning light on the gauge.

i have an oil temp gauge installed in the galley plug under the intake manifold. when the car is fully warmed up, i see about 210-215F and thats normal driving conditions. under track conditions, i would think that is fine. just make sure you have oil in there after every run. I wouldn't worry about since you have no mods and car is still under warranty.
