i dont think the tuner said anything, i believe its personal prefference..

and that is fine to me.. everyone is entitled to thier own, but i really need to know the differences... lol

i also was told by a shop that the AP is insufficient for high horsepower.. but then again as me and mrllsti said, pdx is making 500+ awhp on thier block which consists of balancing and pistons i believe, and are using the accessport.. so why what would make the AP limited to 500hp? i would think the protuner could use the ap to tune vast varieties of combinations(giant turbos, fully built blocks, anything) correct?? i hope lol

The red comes standard with the 7cm. You will be lucky if you can find an 8cm....you would have to buy an fp 18g or some sort and do some swapping. FP emailed me saying they won't be getting anymore 8cm's. Greddy is really upset I guess over the 8cm issue, so no more sent to FP. Greddy would be the only place to get them that I know of, but you won't be able to buy just the 8cm portion. The 7cm is not going to hurt you too much though. The RED also comes oil and water cooled together if you want. Just let them know. BTW, I was one of the lucky one's who ordered when the 8cm's were around.

Petawabit.......I am not really sure about which greddy turbo. I just remember Tim from PDX and FP guys telling me about buying a used 18g if people really felt they HAD TO HAVE an 8cm.

yeah, looking at their site now(greddy)
"Developed by mitsubishi the 8cm^2 compressor housing gets maximum thrust from the 18g Wheel"
I'm wondering how difficult it would be to resell that turbo with a 7cm housing?

It's not like the 7cm is bad...you have great bottom end and good top end....8cm you lose some bottom end......
