Default QUICK Cobb cat-back question

Got my Cobb TBE in the other day. Unpacked it today and noticed the mid pipe (pipe between downpipe and muffler) has a rectangular indentation about 8" back from the flange where it connects with the downpipe. Is this normal? If it doesn't sound normal I'll promptly post a pic if need be. Thanks.

Cobbs telephone line is impossible to get through.

Cobb does have the worst phone service. Other than that, It's absolutely normal for that dent to be there. Mine has it. I'm pretty sure everyone else's like that too. Don't sweat it.

Hahha, thanks man- appreciate that!

So...is it true- the fun starts at stage 2? Where will I feel the most difference...up in the high end? I can't wait!

Looks like it necks down at the flange as well.

Well, I went from stock, to stage 1, and then to stage 2 about 2 months later. I wish I had gone directly from stock to stage 2. The jump from stage 1 to 2 wasn't as significant as I had expected. Stage 1 really opens up the car. Raises boost to around 16.5 and adjusts alot of different things. Stage 2 only pushes another 1 psi out of the turbo (with some other little tweaks). I did notice a little better top end, and faster spool-up over stage 1. But, the difference wasn't night and day.

I really want to get protuned because I think there is a little more power to be gained from Cobb's base map. And the map runs so pig rich, I actually think I could get better gas mileage out of it.

Yup, that's to mate to the stock downpipe (or any other downpipe that uses the stock donut gasket and spring bolts).

wow that's a different outlook. Majority of the experiences i've seen have been that stage 1 was insignificant and stage 2 was the real difference in the car for them.

Yeh, mine was opposite. But, truth be told, I went Stage 1 in June, when it was still cool. Then, Stage 2 in the middle of August, when it was 95 deg. and 95% humidity. So, maybe that was a factor? But, regardless, I've gotten used to the power already
