I think the consensus would be you dont actually need a turbo timer, the turbo'll do just fine without it, but i class it as a 'nice to have' Out here in hot n humid Singapore i can use mine for 2 things 1) you can set the car running, get the aircon cooling before you get in, & have the option to lock & leave it 2) after shutting down, trigger it to run the cooling fans for 5 min or so, blow out some of the furnace temperatures from under the hood. I figure it cant hurt anything. Oh yeah, and the Apexi i got also has a voltmeter, another 'nice to have', and it looks neat mounted down by the IC spray/Foglights switchs |

What would be the purolator equivalent, just in case the Subaru dealer here doesn't have the replacement filter. |

IWSTI Addict since: Aug 2006 Trader Rating: (0) | WOW i defenately learned something new today lol. i knew the turbo was water and oil cooled. it never dawned on me that you dont need to let it run before you shut it off . even if im late to work, i sit in my car for another minute or so and let it "chill" for a bit. so you dont have to let it cool at all...EVAR? good to hear. for the origional question, you can kill 2 birds with one stone and do what i did and buy an aftermarket alarm (my weapon of chioce was the viper 791 with 2 way pager which also has a turbo time function) i just havnt hooked it up yet. |
