| Professional STI Driver | I am looking into purchasing an intake and am not too familiar with how it all works...I currently live in Palm Springs, which for those of you who dont know is in the desert where in the summer it reaches tempatures at 120 plus. Now, would the short ram K&N Typhoon be more appropiate for me than say the APS intake? I am also going to be installing a TBE. Thanks for any input. Max This ad is not endorsed by this member. If you leave it sit inside, the filter gets hotter which makes the air going into the engine hotter which is bad. I am running an APS CAI that runs through to the fender. The colder the air going into the engine the more power you can make. Hope this helps. |

| Professional STI Driver | it is correct that the only Front mount that allows a CAI is the APS? or no? you may need to watch out for that.. it has to fit with your other mods..thats where im stuck right now.. and is there anyway to make the perrin big maf into a CAI? |

IWSTI Addict since: May 2005 Trader Rating: (0) | when i installed my cai is was fine for about a week then i started to notice a creek from the from, the cai pipe that slides into the fender well was to tight. when it got warm and expanded it wedged itself and when reving started to squeek. the best fix i found was to take a dremel and open up the hole a little bit so it would not hit.
