Default HKS Catback , and Uteck

I just asked one of the tuners here in Jersey what kinda power i could get from say an HKS Catback and a uteck since i dont want to void my warranty with a TBE and they said 290 to the wheels sounds pretty good to me what do you guys think...

I duno. I would expect it to be just above the average AP Stage 1 STi as far as whp and wtq. The main bottleneck with these cars seems to be the downpipe which you are retaining. I'd err on the side of caution and say 270ish? I'm just taking a guess here but I know it's not going to be 290 since most Ecutek'd STi's with a full TBE, fuel pump, and EBCS usually dyno in the 300-310 area for whp(2005).

It all depends on the dyno and the day. The real question is how much power will you gain? A reflash can bet worth 20+ hp and a cat back is worht between 0-10. the biggest gains are from the reflash though. Cobb tuning claims 25hp for their reflash and around 5hp for a cat back, so maybe 30hp with a good flash.

Who told you that a downpipe would void your warranty, but the UTEC wont?
I'm also going call BS on 290 to the wheels with just a cat-back...
That would be some ridiculous tuning

Default nah

Nah Precision Tuning in Brick dont tune. They are more of a garage that knows everything about subaru they put your exhausts turbos and so on onto your car...The Tuner is TurboTrix in Edison...yes a DP will void your warranty thats why i dont really want to get one and a Uteck you can just take off your car when you go to the dealer its a piggy back system...
