It destroyed the turbo (exhaust wheel found in DP), crank bearings (BAD rod knock), heads and cams (ALL bearing surfaces scored beyond use). We haven't proven it yet, but they are being given the $14,000 bill!!! SS |

That's used to clean the engine (combustion chamber). An 04-06 Sti doesn't need the engine cleaned.

Actually the reason why I wouldn't use the BG TEC is I would be afraid that pieces of carbon exiting the exhaust port could damage the turbo impeller.

IWSTI Addict since: Mar 2005 Trader Rating: (3) | What about adding stuff like octane booster to your fuel? I know that I should only put oil in the engine but what about trying to add octane to your fuel. Could this hurt anything? Just wondering because I get caught driving out in the country and there is only 92 octane and would like to add a octane booster to at least be around 94 octane. Any information would be appreciated. Trey |

Those things on raise the number by points. i think one octane number is ten points, and those boosters raise the fuel like 5-7 points. But someone correct me if I am wrong. |

IWSTI Addict since: Nov 2004 Trader Rating: (0) | MMT-based octane boosters work. Torco seems to be the best but the NOS Racing Formula octane booster works in a pinch and can be found in many auto parts stores. I wouldn't touch anything that is not MMT-based.
