Default 2008+ STI cam gear re-install

Maybe I'm thinking too much about it, but I am about to put my long block back together and I can't find any info on the torque specs of the ACVS cam gears or how to know if they are aligned correctly. Any help would be appreciated.

Car is a 2010 STI all cams and gears will go back onto the ones they were originally mated with.

There's a locator pin on each cam gear. Make sure they drag properly or timing will be off.

This article on nasioc says 72 ft lbs for today spec.

thank you for the info, I'm not sure what "drag properly" means tho.

I'd be happy to take some pics, if that's helpful, I have the heads apart right now.

I have all the parts apart on my bench also. I guess I have just seen horror stories where the pins were all messed up. I don't know how it happens and since they came off fine, I was thinking it was when you put them back on. I noticed there was a couple holes on the camshaft, will the pin only fit into one?

I had one misalign and Throw timing by half a tooth...took forever to find that issue.

Misalign, as in you thought it was aligned correctly and it felt correct? This is exactly what I'm afraid of.

It was put on by someone else with an impact. It was, apparently, not on there straight. Make sure you seat in the pin and you're good. Do it twice if it's in question.
