Default Re: Looking to run E85 on a 20g

I think I'll be forced to have a louder intake. I wasn't too fond of the noise when I had the SPT, so I picked up a stock intake. I don't like the idea of the filter in the fender as I already deal with that on the SHO.

I think I may pickup 850cc injectors and an adjustable FPR and start with gas. When I tune for E85, I'll bump up the pressure and see if I'll need a secondary pump. I'll likely be researching another week

A single Walbro and 1000 cc injectors for a 20g on E85 will be more than enough. I modded my stock injectors and they are now 1015 cc and I have a single Walbro. I ran 22 psi on teh E85 map with the FP TD06 20g. I will turn it up a little more the next time I fillup with E85. I am running 91 oct currently.

I am running a td06h 20g with dw850s on e85 as well, and my idc is 85% at wot boosting 23psi. Other than a walbro and injectors my fuel system is stock.

Are those large injectors playing nicely for idle and cruise?

Have you traveled to lower altitude with that setup? You're WAY up there and air/fuel requirements will be different. Where are you hitting your max IDC, at peak boost or RPM?

Not sure where I am hitting it at. I just check what the max amount was during a pull. I have not checked it at sea level, but I have driven down there on E85. I usually end up maxing out my MAF and put it into limp mode, so I run 93 instead until I can swing by COBB and get a sea level tune (and possibly upgrade the MAF).

I think I'll hold off on this decision until DW comes out with the 1000cc side feed injectors and see what they say about them. I may try stock fueling and add the pump and injectors and tune from there. No need in changing out things if they don't need to be.

Has DW said anything about making 1000cc side feeds?

They are in testing right now, as I'm told. They can't pin-point a date at the moment, but mentioned *possibly* 2 - 3 months.
