My mechanic called me and said the turbo XS tbe is hanging a couple of inches lower.

Question(1) Is this normal to hang lower? It is a simple machined flange and it bolts together. no real way of screwing up?

Question(2) What would be a good Cat back. I can't use a RFL. I want to drive it on the track and street. The track has 100 noise decibel level.

Question(3) The heat shield from the original sti down pipe has a heat shield on it and it doesn't fit any more. Do you bend it or ditch it?

Thanks as always, Clark

a couple of inches lower? than what? stock? i'm not sure which axle back you chose, but the exhaust tip & muffler should be in the factory location. if your axle back is angled, the canister may hang lower than stock. certainly there are a couple other parts of the turboxs exhaust that hang rather low. yes, no way to screw it up, if the exhaust is sitting where it should on the left and is using the stock hangers.

can't answer # two. i like quiet exhausts

some people replace the stock heat shield with an aftermarket one. some people remove it. i had mine cut so that it would fit yet still provide some heat shielding benefit
